The holiday season is upon us, which might mean that your dental practice is in for a few slow weeks. Luckily for you, there are plenty of ways that you can increase revenue during these holiday months. When marketing your dental practice, be sure you use the holidays to your advantage, increasing business and patient loyalty in the process.
Holiday Marketing Tips
- Plan well – The first thing you should do is set up a meeting with your staff in order to make a schedule. Write down all of the approaching holidays and brainstorm which procedures and services you’d like to promote for each holiday. Including your staff will increase the excitement and dedication to the ideas.
- Be festive – This is where holiday marketing becomes fun – finding the fun and informative ways to incorporate the holidays into your dental office. A fun example of this is to send out an email or a newsletter to your patients detailing the best and worst holiday foods for dental health, or an article on your website outlining how best to keep up with dental hygiene while on a holiday vacation.
- Relevance – Creativity is absolutely encouraged, but it’s also important to make sure your holiday marketing content is still relevant to dental procedures and problems. For example, you can offer a whitening treatment in December called “Special Christmas Card Smile Brightener” or a buy-one-get-one-free dental cleaning and exam offered in February and called a “Romantic Couples Cleaning.”
- Social media – We recommend using social media as a way to bring in patients all year round. However, this method can be especially helpful around the holidays. For example, you can feature a New Year’s Countdown by featuring a different oral hygiene tip for each hour you’re counting down the New Year!
Following these simple, holiday marketing tips for dental offices can help you bring in more patients during the cold, slow, holiday months. For more tips on how to increase your patient base, or for help with you dental bookkeeping, please call Dental Bookkeeping today.
